Watch 'Hamilton' with 'Hamilton' on Saturday, on the site where it happened.

The blockbuster 'Hamilton' musical will be shown at the Yorktown Victory Monument, which is in the Yorktown National Historic Park. Luke Nathan Phillips, who portrays Hamilton, will answer questions before the film.

Time to brush up on those "Guns and Ships" rapping skills.

The Colonial National Historical Park is hosting "Hamilton with Hamilton" Saturday, an outdoor screening of the Tony-winning musical “Hamilton” and a conversation with an Alexander Hamilton reenactor.

The event, "Hamilton with Hamilton: A Revolutionary Night with America’s Most Iconic Founding Father," will take place at the Yorktown Victory Monument, on the battlefield that inspired the Broadway musical.

The actual Hamilton was the country's first U.S. Secretary of the Treasury and fought in the Revolutionary War, including commanding troops at Yorktown.

Originating from the mind of author and performer Lin-Manuel Miranda, “Hamilton” has made its mark on global stages since its off-Broadway opening in 2015. It opened to sold-out crowds on Broadway the next year.

Saturday's activities begin at 6 p.m., and the Q&A with Luke Nathan Phillips begins at 6:30. He will discuss his role as Hamilton, the Siege of Yorktown and can answer other Revolutionary War questions.

Yorktown Day, a local holiday, is Monday, Oct. 19 and commemorates the end of the war.

The film begins at 7 and runs 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Organizers suggest bringing snacks — no alcohol — flashlights, bug and tick repellent, seating/blankets and wearing closed-toe shoes because of uneven terrain. The event is rain or shine, though it will be canceled for severe weather.

The event is free, but registration is required.
