The Little Theatre of Virginia Beach has launched its 78th season, featuring a variety of classic favorites, capers and comedies.
"Sleuth." Through Sunday. A game of cat and mouse is played out in a cozy English country house owned by a celebrated mystery writer and an invited guest. The two embark on an elaborate game of power.
"Crazy For You." Nov. 14 -Dec. 7. A rich-boy-meets-hometown-girl romantic comedy that is set in motion when a town theater is scheduled to close. The score includes memorable George and Ira Gershwin songs such as “I Got Rhythm,” “Nice Work If You Can Get It” and “Someone to Watch Over Me.”
"Stick Fly." Jan. 16-Feb. 8, 2026. An affluent, African-American family gathers at their home on Martha's Vineyard for the weekend and two sons bring home dates to meet the family. The newcomers butt heads over issues of race and privilege and long-standing family tensions reach a boiling point.
"Doubt." March 13 – April 5, 2026. "Doubt" received the 2005 Tony Award for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. A Bronx school principal suspects a young priest is having inappropriate relations with one of the male students.
"Noises Off." May 15-June 7, 2026. Noises Off presents a menagerie of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called "Nothing’s On." Slamming doors and off-stage intrigue figure in the plot of this comedy.
"Sister Act." July 17-Aug. 9, 2026. (Summer musical after the season). A witness to a murder is put in protective custody in a convent. She uses her singing talent to inspire the choir.
