May is graduation season, so let’s celebrate graduates with music from all over the state this Wednesday at 9:00 p.m., on “A Local Touch – Music with a Virginia Connection” with Raymond Jones.
We’ll hear performances by some of the finest university and college orchestras and choirs in the Commonwealth. After a bit of Anton Bruckner from the University of Richmond, enjoy a full hour of Americana from the Old Dominion University Schola Cantorum.
The journey continues with a Requiem from Virginia Tech and choral music of the American composer Eric Whitacre performed by the William & Mary Choir in Williamsburg. We’ll also have musical contributions from Virginia Wesleyan in Virginia Beach, Washington & Lee in Lexington, and Bridgewater College.
