The federal government first introduced the food pyramid back in 1992. It had six categories. In 2005, the chart was revised to focus on calories and exercise. In 2011, the pyramid went away when First Lady Michelle Obama introduced "My Plate"- a graphic divided into four sections with fruits, vegetables, grain, and protein. Now, the pyramid is back but, markedly different from its original version. What has changed and is the shift good for you?
