In June 2016, a group of black visionaries gathered at the Slover Library in downtown Norfolk to discuss economic empowerment within the black community of and community engagement within the black community of Hampton Roads. The seeds of Black Brand- Hampton Roads Black Chamber of Commerce were planted. Ten years later, Black Brand is laser focused on its mission to transform our local, regional, and national community through unity, education, access, opportunity, and development. On this week's Another View, host Barbara Hamm Lee welcomes Co-Founder and CEO Blair Durham, and business owners associated with Black Brand, Dr. Erica Jones, co-founder, chairman and executive officer of the board of Silver Care Dementia Center, Chasity Pritchett, owner of Emblem Olive Oil, and Derak Green, co-owner and head of operations for Cooking with Greens.
