Mozart’s Comic Gem 'Così fan tutte' Comes to WHRO-FM

This Saturday at 1 p.m., WHRO-FM presents Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s sparkling comedy “Così fan tutte,” in a performance from LA Opera. Full of wit, romance, and disguise, this opera explores love and loyalty when two young men put their fiancées’ fidelity to the test, at the mischievous suggestion of the worldly Don Alfonso.

The cast features soprano Erica Petrocelli as Fiordiligi, and mezzo-soprano Rihab Chaieb as her sister Dorabella, with soprano Ana María Martínez as their quick-thinking maid, Despina. Tenor Anthony León and baritone Justin Austin star as the young lovers Ferrando and Guglielmo, while baritone Rod Gilfry takes on the role of Don Alfonso.

Maestro James Conlon leads the LA Opera Orchestra and Chorus in Mozart’s luminous score, bringing to life both the playful humor and the heartfelt emotion of this beloved masterpiece.

Don’t miss this delightful production this Saturday at 1:00 p.m., on WHRO-FM 90.3 and online through our Media Player.
