Republicans are in the majority in the House of Representatives, The Senate, and of course, The White House, making it difficult for Democrats to get legislation passed or to stop legislation that the minority party deems detrimental to the American people. Mid- terms elections are in 2026, and the Democratic Party is trying to figure out how to convince the electorate to vote them back in power. Enter the Majority Democrats - a coalition of elected officials from all levels of government determined to remake the Democratic Party's image, recruit new candidates, and challenge policies they say are holding back the party. The Mayor of Newport News, Phillip Jones is an inaugural member, and he shared the vision with this edition of Another View.
