Music from the Lonesome River Band, Ronnie Bowman, Shawn Colvin, Mary Chapin Carpenter, The Wood Brothers, and plenty of others. Also, music from the wonderful Levon Helm and his comeback 2007 album "Dirt Farmer." Helm was the celebrated drummer in The Band- which originated as the backup group for Bob Dylan. Helm had stopped recording in 1982, and Dirt Farmer was his first album in 25 years. It would go on to win a 2008 Grammy Award for Best Traditional Folk Album. Helm's follow up release "Electric Dirt" in 2010 would win a second Grammy. Also, music from regional artists The Gurleys and Mercy Creek. Tune in for The Best of Pickin. Friday night 10-12 on WHRV.
