The Acoustic Highway welcomes local artist Georgia Fox to the 89.5 studio for this week’s program. Fox recently performed at the WHRO Leaders Board “Play Your Heart Out” showcase. She’ll talk music and perform live. Also, music from Tyler Hilton, Tracy Chapman, and Carrie Newcomer. And, we’ll hear from the late John Prine when he teamed with Iris Dement for the 1999 album “In Spite of Ourselves.” They sang four tracks on the album including the title track. And, a track from (almost local) artist Dustin Furlow and the title track from his wonderful album “The Sound That You Call Home.” The former Virginia Beach resident now calls Asheville, North Carolina his home.
