Congratulations To These Young Storytellers!

Our judges have read all the entries from our annual writers contest and chosen winners in each grade level. Our awards show will look a little different this year, but we hope you will join us to celebrate these young writers.

The judging is finished, and we've named the winners of the WHRO Young Storytellers Contest. As with all events this year, our annual awards show looked a little different, but we are excited to honor these young writers.

We received approximately 100 entries from local students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Students wrote stories that were fact, fiction, poetry, or prose. Stories were judged on originality, creative expression, storytelling, and integration of illustrations, and one first-place and one second-place winner were chosen from each grade level.

Watch the archived virtual awards show below.
