Diabetes is an epidemic that affects 100 million Americans, costing over $350 billion annually. Explore the history and science of this hidden crisis and meet some of the faces behind the statistics whose stories bring insights and hope.

Through film clips and conversation with a panel of experts, we will cover such important topics such as: how nutrition affects your diabetes, diabetes in infants as well as the cost of insulin.

Panelists:

  • Dr. Anna Peoples of the Peoples Pharmacy and Diabetes Clinic: Your neighborhood full-service pharmacy and chronic care clinic.
  • Liza de la Cruz: Health Educator at Virginia Department of Health
