The international tour of "A Celtic Christmas" will hit Newport News and Richmond with one-day performances in each city.

Featuring traditional high-energy Irish tunes, ballads and a star-studded roster, "A Celtic Christmas" tour is coming to Richmond on Sunday and Newport News on Monday, Dec. 22.

The show, by A Taste of Ireland, has toured the world and features a multidimensional production choreographed and produced by National Irish Dance Champion Brent Pace, with Irish Dance World Champion and Lord of the Dance lead soloist, Ceili Moore.

“We’ve curated a spectacular line-up, featuring unparalleled talents from around the globe. From world-class musicians to the most skilled Irish dancers of today, our stage is graced by the very best in the industry,” Pace said in a news release.

Other performers include two-time World Champion Irish dancer Gavin Shevlin, World Championship runner-up Cian Walsh and fiddle player Megan McGinley, the Patrick O'Keeffe Young Musician of the Year.

The show centers around two star-crossed lovers, Oisín, who hails from the rugged lands of Tyrone, and Ava, a feisty young woman from a wealthy family in Athenry.
