This week, Pickin brings you a wide range of traditional Bluegrass favorites with music from Dave Evans and River Bend, Longview, Del McCoury, The Johnson Mountain Boys and plenty of others. The Johnson Mountain Boys were instrumental in cementing Washington, DC as a prime hub for Bluegrass Music in the 1980s. They were regulars at venues like The Birchmere and Lucketts and also launched both national and international tours. The band has numerous personnel changes since many of the members were still in school and often would take a hiatus from performing to head off to college. We'll hear a full set from the band. Also, music from the new Daryl Mosley release entitled "Little Moments" and a double hit with Bill Emerson and The Sweet Dixie Band and then, Bill Emerson teaming with Cliff Waldron, from a "Best Of" compilation release.
