WHRO's Education staff recently participated in the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters' Fall Festival in Chesapeake.
The festival is a free community event specially designed for children with special needs and their families.
Children enjoyed games, a sensory room, fun photo opportunities, costumes, and trick-or-treating in the village of community partners. More than 100 kids stopped by the WHRO table to say hello.
The event is just one of many that WHRO Education staff attend throughout the year to stay connected with the students, teachers, parents, and other caregivers in our community.
CHKD is offering the same event in Yorktown on Saturday, October 24, 10 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Elementary.
WHRO is proudly owned by the 21 school divisions in the southeastern Virginia region.
