WHRO Public Media welcomes Kelly Kenoyer to WHRV FM. Listeners will hear her on the air soon as host of Morning Edition.
Kelly, originally from Oregon, is a new resident of Hampton Roads, relocating from Wilmington, North Carolina. She attended University of Oregon’s School of Journalism as an undergraduate, and later received a Master’s in Journalism from University of Missouri- Columbia. After a long stint in print journalism, Kelly worked as a podcast producer for Investigative Reporters and Editors, a reporter for KBIA in Columbia, MO, and a news reporter and host for WHQR in Wilmington, NC. She’s an avid baker, cyclist, swing dancer, and tabletop gamer.
“Kelly brings a strong breadth of experience in journalism, storytelling, and public media to the WHRO family," said Senior Director of Audio Content and Audience Strategy Chuck Doud. "Her ability to connect with audiences, tell meaningful stories, and bring both curiosity and perspective to the work will be a tremendous asset to WHRV. We’re excited to welcome her to the WHRO Public Media team.”
