Merlefest 2026 is this weekend and on Friday night's Best of Pickin, we'll have a look at some of the artists performing at what is one of the largest Americana festivals in the Nation- held annually in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Featured performers include Alison Krauss and Union Station, Old Crow Medicine Show, Molly Tuttle, Sister Sadie, Donna the Buffalo, and Jim Lauderdale. The New York Based Donna the Buffalo Band has a legendary following known as " The Herd" who regularly show at the group's concerts and performances. Also, music from the Lone Bellow (who are appearing soon in Hampton Roads), Richmond based artist Steve Fisher, Meadow Mountain, and classic tracks from Larry Sparks, the band High Fidelity, and Mac Wiseman teaming with The Osborne Brothers from their classic 1979 Essential Bluegrass Album. release.
