Norfolk State University recently honored 90 individuals for their dynamic impact on NSU’s growth, spirit and enduring legacy.
WHRO Public Media's Lisa Godley, director, equity production and outreach and producer of Another View with Barbara Hamm Lee, was among the honorees.
Godley is a trailblazer for storytelling from the perspective of African Americans. She is a six-time Emmy-winning television producer, director and show host. In addition, Lisa proudly obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Norfolk State University and her Master of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University's esteemed Medill School of Journalism.
At WHRO, she is in charge of making sure that locally produced films, documentaries, feature stories and television specials represent the diverse racial, ethnic and gender groups that comprise this region's population.
