That evening at 9:00 PM, Raymond Jones presents a special program dedicated to honoring our heroes through the power of music. Highlights of the evening include William Grant Still’s 'In Memoriam: The Colored Soldiers Who Died For Democracy 1943', Alfredo Casella’s 'Heroic Elegy - In Memory of Soldiers Who Died In War', Eduard Tubin’s 'Requiem for Fallen Soldiers', Don Gillis’ Symphony No. 5 'In Memoriam' from 1945, and Eric Ewazen’s 'A Hymn for the Lost and Living'. Concluding the program is John Williams’ 'Summon the Heroes,' a stirring anthem that celebrates courage and resilience.
