This Week on The Acoustic Highway, we feature a remembrance of the classic 1972 Nitty Gritty Dirt Band release "Will The Circle Be Unbroken." The groundbreaking album brought together some of the greats of country and bluegrass like Earl Scruggs, Mother Maybelle Carter, Doc Watson, and Jimmy Martin with newer artists like Norman Blake, Merle Travis, and of course, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. The album was reissued in 2022 on its 50 th anniversary.
We’ll also have a set featuring Ian and Sylvia, Simon and Garfunkel, and a cut from the soundtrack to the “Inside Llewyn Davis” which is roughly based on the life of artist Dave Van Ronk. It’s a full night on the Highway- Sunday night at 9, tune in.Tune in Sunday at 9:00 p.m. on WHRV 89.5 FM
