The Acoustic Highway joins in the eclipse excitement with songs all about—what else, the sun! We’ll hear from the legendary Jesse Colin Young, Karan Casey, Richmond-based artist Pamela McCarthy, and Willie Nelson. The last total eclipse in the United States was in 2017, and before that 1979. Southeastern Virginia saw a total eclipse on March 7, 1970, and it was a bright sunny day that suddenly turned to dusk. This eclipse in Virginia will not be total but Hampton Roads will see about 78% coverage. So before the sun gets blocked by the moon, experience some songs about the brightest star! The Highway airs Sunday night at 9 on WHRV. You can also listen online.
