He is best known for a six-year stretch with Jimmy Martin and the Sunny Mountain Boys but also worked with the Lonesome Pine Fiddlers and his own band, the Victory Trio. As a songwriter, he has over 125 songs to his credit. In 2018, Paul Williams was inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame.
