Most of us are or know someone who's had a hard time finding or keeping a job over the past few years. Today we introduce a new series of audio portraits — people in their daily lives, describing their experiences. We begin with Jesse Rhew of Nashville, Tenn. He's 29 years old and holds two degrees. That didn't protect him from a round of layoffs, so these days he makes ends meet by fixing old amplifiers.
