Special Events

Special Event Hosts
WHRO offers many kinds of special events:  board meetings, computer workshops, lectures, concerts, special broadcasts, cocktail parties, to name just a few.  Most of these require volunteer assistants who help set up, greet arriving visitors, collect paperwork, solve problems, lock or unlock doors, etc.  Usually, these Special Event Hosts come from the large group of volunteers who have shown continued interest in WHRO over a long period of time and who have a solid knowledge of our building and staff. 

A great way to begin working on special events is to get to know WHRO, and its staff, by assisting on pledge drives or in the office.
