AN EVENING WITH THE JAE SINNETT TRIO: LIVE AT WHRO
Sunday, March 15, 8:00-10:00 p.m.
Jae and his Trio have been performing for about 14 years. They've played some of the major jazz festivals across the country and for top tier university music programs in concert and as clinicians and jazz educators. Their repertoire includes mainly compositions by drumming powerhouse and composer, Jae Sinnett, plus a vast collection of arrangements from the standard songbook. On this concert you hear mainly Jae's original thought-provoking and versatile charts that showcase the extraordinary musical ability of each musician. Two standards are also included...a blistering 5/4 arrangement of the classic "Old Devil Moon" and the swinging Thelonious Monk mainstay... "Well You Needn't." The energy filled the room with the packed house and the concert concluded with two standing ovations. Truly, a special night of jazz, at WHRO.  Tune in and find out how you can get tickets to his concert in April!
