Heart Start
Every year, 340,000 people in this country die from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). SCA happens when the electrical system of the heart short circuits, resulting in an abnormal rhythm and quivering of the heart called ventricular fibrillation. Survival can often depend on weather a defibrillator is available to jolt the heart into pumping regularly again. Join Dr. Pat Raymond and guests Cory Gilmore and Dan Baxter as they discuss the latest technology and life saving techniques dealing with CPR and the new portable Heart Start defibrillator.
