TREATING CHILDHOOD CANCER
Today on House Calls, we continue a two-part look at childhood cancer. We'll talk about the diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancers and look at survivorship and end of life issues. Our guests are Dr. Herb Bevan, pediatric oncologist with Children's Hopsital of the King's Daughters, Sheila McElmurry, Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Hematology/Oncology Department at CHKD, Lori Barbaro, Director of Patient Care at Edmarc, the children’s hospice, and Kimberly Cortez, mother of 4-year-old Jake, who is in treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
