HearSay with Cathy Lewis wants to change its tune!
The award winning, live, call-in talk radio program that broadcasts on
WHRV 89.5 FM public radio in Hampton Roads begins its 10th year in
2006. While the quality of the conversation will stay crisp and
engaging, we’re looking for new music to mark a new decade.
That’s why we’re asking composers and bands in our listening area to
submit original material for consideration as HearSay’s new theme
music. Here’s how it works: Contestants submit their instrumental
theme music, 30 second and 1 minute versions, via email (MP3 or
WAV) or CD to the address below. There is no deadline, but selection
ends when we receive five great candidates, so send your material as
soon as possible! After our music experts at the station pick the top
five, we will let our listeners decide which should become the new
HearSay theme. While there is no monetary compensation, the
bands receive on air promotion and the opportunity for their music to
be heard by thousands of listeners…along with the undying gratitude
of the HearSay staff.
So what type of sound fits the HearSay persona? Our show covers
everything from politics to pet health, gardening to those gritty
issues we all deal with like transportation, education, and so much
more. HearSay with Cathy Lewis airs Monday-Thursday from noon to
1 p.m. EST and is heard by approximately 90,000 listeners throughout
southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina.
