The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) is holding it's 33rd Annual Training Conference and Exhibition in Norfolk this week. Today we're joined by Norfolk Chief of Police Bruce Marquis and NOBLE National President Joseph McMillan about some of the key issues they will be examining during the conference. One of those issues is racial profiling which has been brought to the forefront of Americans' attention following the contentious arrest of esteemed African American Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr.

Energy & National Security

Today we talk with a panel of experts about the intersection of energy use and National Security. American fuel consumption and reliance on foreign oil paired with the instability that climate change can create could translate to a security threat against the US. We'll talk about the security implications of our energy consumption today with ADM John Nathman, USN, (Ret.) a former US Fleet Forces Commander, David Pumphrey, Deputy Director and Senior Fellow with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and Delegate Joe Bouchard, CAPT, USN, (Ret.) who serves on the Governor’s Commission on Climate Change and was Commanding Officer of Naval Station Norfolk from February 2000 to January 2003.
