From the Headlines: General Assembly News; Virginia Primary Preview
We'll have all of the latest politics of the General Assembly on today's HearSay. We'll also preview the upcoming Virginia Primary. Many political analysts suggest the Commonwealth is turning purple, and a once Republican state could become a key battleground in the 2008 election. Segment A: Youthquake
The youth vote is playing a key role in primaries. In South Carolina, 18-29-year-olds accounted for 14% of voters, that's up from 9% in 2004. And in Iowa, young voter turnout rose 135% from the previous presidential primary. Now as Virginians head to the polls for the state's primary, we'll hear from the voices of young voters in Hampton Roads.
