Segment A: MIXED MESSAGE?
Underage drinkers account for one-fifth of the nation's alcohol consumption.  Should parents be penalized when teenagers drink alcohol at home?  A Virginia couple was sentenced to 27 months in jail for throwing a supervised party for their son's 16th birthday, at which beer was made available.  Where do you stand on the issue? Guests: Attorneys Lisa O'Donnell - Bertini, O'Donnell & Jochens; James Broccoletti - Zoby & Broccoletti; and Steven Emmert - an appellate lawyer in Virginia Beach.

Segment B: EXTREME BEHAVIOR
Partying on college campuses is nothing new, but it's taking a more extreme form, with higher rates of binge drinking and prescription drug abuse, and more negative consequences for students such as arrests and risky sexual behavior.  We'll talk about the culture of excessive consumption on college campuses.  Guests: Dr. John Fleming, author of “Preventing Addiction: What Parents Must Know to Immunize Their Kids Against Drug and Alcohol Addiction” and Carol Falkowski, Director of Research Communications at Hazelden Foundation.

Segment B: THE FISO FACTOR
Is it possible for leaders in the business world to both fit in and stand out?  It may seem like opposite concepts, but former Bic CFO and business expert, Blythe McGarvie, says it's the keys to climbing the corporate ladder.  Cathy talks to McGarvie about the approach highlighted in her book "Fit In, Stand Out, Mastering the FISO Factor for Success in Business and Life".

In Praise of Nepotism
How many times has someone said to you “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.”   The practice of nepotism is often met with disdain even though it’s also universally practiced.  On today’s HearSay, we revisit a conversation on nepotism.  Cathy’s guest is Adam Bellow, author of “In Praise of Nepotism: A Natural History”, which seeks to redefine nepotism as a natural, healthy concern for family and, by extension, those ethnically or otherwise similar to ourselves.

THE SHAPE OF GOOD HEALTH
Are you an apple or a pear?  Did you know your body type determines a lot about your health, and what foods you should eat?  On today's HearSay, we'll revisit a conversation with body-shape expert, Marie Savard, M.D., author of "The Body Shape Solution to Weight Loss and Wellness: The Apples & Pears Approach to Losing Weight, Living Longer and Feeling Healthier", about the role that body shape plays in determining heart disease risk.  We'll also discuss how body image affects all of us as the face of anorexia is becoming younger and younger - even adolescent boys are struggling with poor body image.
