TRAGEDY AT VIRGINIA TECH
It's the deadliest shooting rampage in the history of our nation.  Gunfire in a dorm and later a classroom at Virginia Tech leaves 33 people dead and many more wounded. The gunman was among the dead.   The 26,000-student campus remains closed and now university officials turn their attention to notifying the families of the victims, which includes students and staff members.  We'll have the latest details on today's HearSay.  GUESTS: Norm Wood-Daily Press Reporter, John Broderick-VP of Institutional Advancement and Chief of Staff at Old Dominion University, Glenn Oder VA Delegate - 9th District, and Christopher Jennings - President of the Tidewater Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association.

“Words are weak symbols of our true emotions at times like this.”  Those words from Virginia Tech President Charles Steger at the memorial service on the Blacksburg campus.  We continue our coverage of events at Virginia Tech on today’s HearSay.  We’ll look at the role counselors play in times of tremendous grief.  GUESTS: Dr. Paul Clements, Psychiatric and Forensic Specialist; Terry Jenkins, Director of Human Services for the City of Virginia Beach and Norm Wood reporter from the Daily Press.
