Opera in the Park

WHRO and the Virginia Opera invite you to “Opera in the Park,” a free, family event this Saturday at Town Point Park in Norfolk.  Peter Mark, the opera’s Artistic Director, along with humorist Hope Mihalap and WHRO-FM’s Dwight Davis, will host this delightful afternoon.  There will be activities for children, refreshments for children and adults and, of course, music.  The gates open at 3:00 PM.  The TRADOC band will perform at 5:00, and then at 6:00, singers from Virginia opera will present a selection of operatic and Broadway favorites.  Bring the family and enjoy “Opera in the Park” this Saturday at Town Point Park, a free event presented by Virginia Opera and WHRO.
