DANNY EPPERSON JOINS WHRO STAFF
Local broadcast veteran to produce HearSay, What Matters

Norfolk:  Public radio and television broadcaster WHRO has announced that Danny Epperson has joined its staff.  Epperson will join Tayla Burney in producing duties for the daily call-in radio program HearSay with Cathy Lewis (WHRV 89.5FM, M-F 12noon), and will produce the Friday night public affairs television show What Matters (WHRO TV15/15.1HD, 8:30 and 10:30pm), also hosted by Lewis.

A graduate of Christopher Newport University, Epperson holds a degree in business management, with a minor concentration in broadcasting, English and theatre arts.  He is a former News Producer for local television station WAVY, where he produced newscasts and special programming; and also booked and interviewed celebrities live in-studio and via satellite.  Prior to WAVY, he was employed by WTKR, where he produced a morning news program and other newscasts; and also booked and conducted in-studio and satellite interviews.

Epperson is the recipient of two regional Emmy awards for outstanding programming achievement.  He is a native of Suffolk.
