WHRO Kids Club Spring Event

What: Dinosaur Train Nature Trackers Club Outing
When: May 20th 2pm
Where: First Landing State Park

(meet at the Visitor’s Center Parking lot)

WHRO Kids Club members will have a chance to get up, get outside and get into nature!

We will have four challenges during our time in the great outdoors. Each child will receive a Nature Trackers Club Guide Book, Nature Trackers Club card, stickers and tattoos.

Port Warwick Art & Sculpture Festival

The Port Warwick Art and Sculpture Festival is celebrating its sixth year Oct. 9 & 10, 2010.
  
Approximately 100 nationally recognized artists from around the country are participating in this year’s festival.  The artists are juried into the show to assure only the best sculpture, ceramics, painting, jewelry, furniture, photography, fiber, drawing, glass, and mixed media works are represented. The festival is the only show in Virginia to feature sculpture.

"Elmo's Healthy Heroes"

When Super Grover loses his superness, Sesame Street needs a hero! Never fear, Elmo and his team of Healthy Heroes are here. Teaching lessons of healthy habits through song and dance, Elmo, Abby Cadabby and your favorite Sesame Street friends will explore exercise, nutrition, sleep/energy and hygiene – all in a quest to put the “super” back in Super Grover. It’s Elmo’s Healthy Heroes to the rescue!

Zoo Grooves

Family, Fun and Food!
Concert night at the Virginia Zoo is perfect for families! Enjly music by local band "Promethean" playing everything from Elvis and the Beatles to '80's and '90's favorites in the Zoo event field. Concessions will be your favorite summer foods and reflreshments will be available for purchase until 8pm. Pack your blankets and lawn chairs to be entertained at this groovy event.
