2012-2013 WHRO Classroom Guide Online

Welcome to the 2012-2013 WHRO Classroom Guide Online! This year's online guide includes television schedules for WHRO's children's programming on our legacy channel 15.1 and on WHRO KIDS our 24/7 children's channel. The schedules have links to all the program's websites where you will find streaming video clips, games, lesson plans and places for students to submit matierals they create. The Curriculum Resources tab will lead you to a variety of educational resources available from PBS producers. The Whiteboard Interactive tab features research based content from PBS Kids.

"Alice," our graphic theme for this year, was created by Virginia Governor's School for the Arts students Kendall Ewing, Tyler Lockard and Julia Sale at the 2012 Great Computer Challenge. These students coached by their teacher sponsor Chris Tompkins won 1st place in the Graphic Arts category in the competition.
