The Eddie Files features Peabody Award-winning teacher Kay Toliver's innovative approaches to presenting math. The series is based on investigations into the world of careers conducted by "Eddie", a fictional 11 year-old East Harlem student. It's a unique combination of fiction and real-world math and science. Students discover estimation, geometry, and fractions by meeting real people in real jobs using the concepts. The series can also inspire students to begin and keep math journals.
