The primary purpose of the Destination series and the accompanying teacher guide is to help students gain a greater understanding of a culture and regions of the world that is different from their own. The series is designed to encourage students to look more closely at their own culture as well as to identify the similarities and differences that exist among other cultures. Students will also look at the ways in which their own country is tied to other nations in the larger world community.
