This program shows the trials and triumphs of Filipino and Filipino American generations coming together to preserve and honor the history of those who helped forge opportunities in Hampton Roads. This documentary is about the making of the book "In Our Aunties' Words". This community oral history project consisted of interviews, conducted by high school students and young Filipino professionals from the community, with Filipino American women about their memories of immigration, integration and survival in a new land.
