Classify rocks, and see how you can break them with water. Learn how soil is created and then make your own! Sort animals into their habitats. Every living thing depends on every other living thing to survive - this is called interdependency. Add humans to the mix and we have the ability to affect the survival of plants and animals. Humans can change the existing habitats. We can also help protect the survival of species by conservation measures such as resource renewal, habitat management procedures and species monitoring. The zoo is the perfect place to learn about these things as our mission is teach about conserving animals and their habitats.

Animals in the wild must find creative ways to survive and avoid being eaten. Come learn about intriguing strategies of animal defense such as mimicry, camouflage and behavior "trickery." We will also discover why things such as shells, quills, and venom are so important.
