Regional Virtual School

2007 marked the beginning of a new era in online student instruction in Hampton Roads. That’s the date that four brand new, regionally-developed, online student instruction courses debuted including English 9, Earth Science, Survival Economics, and U.S. Government. In development since early 2006, these courses were the first of what will be a steady stream of online courses created through a cooperative venture known as the Hampton Roads Virtual Learning Center.  Schools participating in the HRVLC offer some or all of the courses each year.

For more information on what’s happening with these courses in your school please contact your local E-Learning Coordinator or Mitzi Fehl-Seward, E-Learning Manager at WHRO and Project Manager for course development at Mitzi.Fehl-Seward@whro.org or 757.889.9113.
