Integrating Technology Into The Secondary Social Sciences Curriculum - 30hr
Online Syllabus AKSS360.108 Virginia's Community of Anytime Knowledge course This course is designed to integrate a variety of instructional technologies with the state of Virginia Standards of Learning for secondary social sciences. Teachers will discover resources including primary sources, projects, lesson plans and interactive activities available for inclusion in classroom activities to bring social sciences alive for their students. Each week will focus on a specific type of technology, with participants applying the techniques to their area of focus. Learners will be encouraged to collaborate with others to design creative and original lesson plans, projects, rubrics or presentations. Learners should already have a basic foundation in instructional technical technology utilizing the Windows 98/2000/XP platform with Microsoft Office 97/2000/XP.
