PBS TeacherLine has teamed up with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) to certify teachers who lead the way in classroom technology integration. This research based, online professional development program empowers you to achieve the following:
- Demonstrate your mastery of ISTE's National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS-T),
- Earn recognized certification in technology integration,
- Build a community of support for technology integration. Program participants engage in the following activities:
- Identify relevant research about technology and learning,
- Share digital creations that demonstrate technical standards in classroom situations,
- Develop a multimedia portfolio of classroom projects,
- Exchange ideas and strategies with other program participants,
- Interact with a coach who provides guidance and feedback.
The Capstone Program consists of three courses. In this course, Capstone I, you will create a portfolio exhibit to demonstrate your use of technology. Capstone I also prepares you for Capstone II, showcasing your students'™ use of technology. Capstone I and Capstone II are 15 weeks long each.

TSIP Anywhere Anytime is a six-week online course that is an online adaptation of the ever popular Technology Standards for Instructional Personnel (TSIP) Certification course that has been offered for years as a face-to-face class through the C.I.I. The purpose of this course is designed to assist Virginia Educators in exploring and developing expertise with the various aspects of telecommunications tools as well as model the ways in which these tools can be used for personal learning and for integration into the teaching/learning process. This course will focus on six main areas: beginning Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and beginning Internet.
4.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and a pass/fail grade will be issued from Old Dominion University upon successfully completing the online course.

Students will understand the history of hypertext markup language as it applies to web pages today. They will identify basic web page design considerations and apply these elements to the creation of a set of 4 web pages. They will use basic HTML code, Internet resources and a web page editor to complete these web pages.
