Lights, camera, action. Learn how to use this wonderful free download from Microsoft. This program is easy enough for 5th grade students to use, but sophisticated enough for you to add all kinds of transitions, titles, and sound. This session requires that teachers come with digitized pictures and or digital cameras. Teachers will learn how to put pictures, video clips, and sound into this great program. Teachers are encouraged to bring jump drives to save movies. (this program needs XP ) Teachers will leave with a movie that they have created. Sample movies by students will be shown. Also- suggestions of how this can be used in the classroom.
Prerequisite: Familiarity of Windows and should feel comfortable using a keyboard and a mouse.

Using Flash To Create Online Learning Games - 5hr

Adobe Flash is the leading software program for creating interactive content over the Internet. Teachers will use Flash MX and Actionscripting to create two online, interactive learning games-one drag-and-drop and one multiple choice. Through these examples, teachers will be exposed to two basic Actionscript examples that could then be used to create other games independently at the conclusion of the workshop. Skills learned in this workshop include: " creating graphics with Flash " adding basic interactivity " a basic introduction to programming with Flash's ActionScripting language
