Virginia ’s Public Broadcasting Stations (MHz Networks, Falls Church; WBRA, Roanoke; WCVE, Richmond; WHRO, Norfolk; and WVPT, Harrisonburg) donated an Apple iPhone at the recent Virginia Department of Education Educational Technology Leadership Conference in Roanoke.

Top 10 Uses For An iPhone In Education

Three participants of the Educational Technology Leadership Conference were chosen to come up with the Top 10 Uses of the iPhone in Education.

Rich Ingram, Karen Richardson, and Victor Gosnall were chosen for the Technology Showdown

Karen Richardson, VITAL Co-Director, College of William and Mary, and VSTE Chair, used the flip video camera and recorded responses from other participants at the conference which she then edited into one video. Check it out here!!

Rich Ingram, JMU Partnership for 21st Century Skills Director, asked the audience of the closing session to text him with ideas, and the first 10 were the ones he chose. Out of his top 10, the BEST response won an iPhone. Yes, another iPhone was given away at the closing.

Victor Gosnell, Bedford County Director of Technology and Media, came up with his responses without any support from the other participants. If you were at the closing session, you will know why this was funny. He placed his responses in a PowerPoint. Check them out here!!
