The Department of Physics and Astronomy at James Madison University is accepting entries for a physics video contest. Individuals or teams of high school students are invited to submit original videos that demonstrate and explain a physics phenomenon. Videos will be judged by a panel of JMU faculty and students and should be accurate, informative, and entertaining.
Cash prizes will be awarded for the top entries, including a grand prize of $500 for the student and $300 for the student's high school science program. Entries will be accepted until March 15, 2011 and finalists will be invited to an awards ceremony in April.
Additional information for both students and teachers, contest rules, and instructions on how to submit videos can be found at http://csm.jmu.edu/physics/public/VideoContest.html
