Apple Digital Learning Series


The Apple Digital Learning Series is a collection of free events focused on introducing educators to the capabilities of the Mac and Apple’s mobile devices in the classroom. Each seminar focuses on a specific aspect of instruction and highlights some of the features of the Apple blended learning environment. All five of these events will be held at WHRO, 5200 Hampton Boulevard, Norfolk, VA 23508.

Leadership Forum

Janice Adams of Apple shares many instructional strategies for technology integration using the iPad, iPod Touch, and an Apple Computer at the Leadership Forum on January 21.

 

iOS Technical Session
Thursday, January 20, 2011 9:00AM to 12:00PM
This seminar will focus on the technical aspects of supporting a digital learning environment and iOS management of multiple devices in schools. In addition, this event will support schools who have technical questions about the security of our iOS devices, how to deploy devices and apps, and how to manage iOS devices. http://edseminars.apple.com/event/3343

Leadership Forum

The agenda includes discussion on how technology changes learning, the impact of professional development, key success factors, funding, and the digital tools today's students use to create knowledge. You will hear how schools are currently using technology in innovative ways and challenge participants’ thinking about today’s students and the instructional strategies for technology integration needed to significantly increase student engagement.
