LIVE Saturday, February 20th beginning at 2:00 pm WHRO will host 40 of Hampton Roads' finest young spellers as they compete in The 2010 Virginian-Pilot Spelling Bee.
The following schools are holding local spelling bees and will be sending their winner to the Bee.
PUBLIC SCHOOLS in Virginia: Chesapeake - Deep Creek; Norfolk - Blair Middle, Ruffner Middle, School of International Studies-Meadowbrook; Portsmouth - Churchland Middle, Cradock Middle, William E Waters Middle; Southampton - Southampton Middle; Suffolk - Forest Glen Middle, John F Kennedy Middle; Virginia Beach - Brookwood Elementary, Independence Middle, Kemps Landing Magnet, Kempsville Middle, King's Grant Elementary, Landstown Middle, Larkspur Middle, Lynnhaven Middle, Newtown Road Elementary, Plaza Middle, Princess Anne Middle, Virginia Beach.
