Love to play Scrabble?  Looking for a little friendly competition?

On February 24th, WHRO is once again partnering with our friends at The Literacy Partnership to host SCRABBLE® for LITERACY!  The adults tournament is held from 5:30 to 9pm in our Hampton Boulevard studios, where parking is ample and free!

The tiles fly fast and furious and the action is non-stop.  Team T-shirts are optional, but be warned: the competition is fierce but friendly – these players are here to have fun and make friends, along with 7-letter words!  Don’t have a ready-made team?  Solos are welcome – we’ll match you up with other word lovers and make sure you get to play to your heart’s content.  Fees for adult teams are $125 – solo players $50.

Rusty?  Or just want a little pre-tournament practice?  Come to the Barnes & Noble @ TCC in Norfolk’s MacArthur Center on January 22nd, February 5th and February 19th, from 2 to 5pm for practice sessions.
